- What are our general terms and conditions?
- What are our cancellation conditions?
A cancellation fee will be charged for confirmed bookings from 3 weeks before the start of the course. This amounts to 50% of the total amount of the booked course. From 24 hours before the start of the course, we reserve the right to charge the full amount according to the booking.
In the event of illness or injury, no cancellation fee will be charged on presentation of a medical certificate.
ALPINE SKIING
- Is there a minimum age for private lessons?
Yes, we offer our private ski courses from the age of 6.
- Do private lessons also take place in “bad weather”?
Yes, lessons always take place. The only exception is when the cable car operator suspends operations due to weather conditions (strong wind, etc.).
- Is the ski pass included in the price?
No, the ski pass is NOT included in the price. The ski pass can be purchased at the ticket offices of the gondola stations in the valley and at ski pass sales points (sports store, hotel) in the village. The prices can be found here.
- Is the ski equipment included in the price?
No, the ski equipment is NOT included in the price. Ski equipment can be rented or purchased from any sports retailer in the village.
- Do we also have ski equipment to hire/buy?
No, we do not offer equipment for hire or purchase.
- Can I choose freely from all meeting points?
This depends on your level as a skier. As not every level of ability can be taught on every mountain due to the nature of the terrain, we adapt to your ability in order to get the best out of your course. If you are already a very advanced skier, we can choose the meeting point according to your wishes (exception: Hintertux Glacier/only 4h or 5h possible). Sometimes the weather or the conditions dictate the meeting point.
- Are all lessons offered at every meeting point?
Rastkogelbahn and Eggalmbahn: all course hours are offered
Hintertux Glacier: only full day 4h or 5h take place on the Hintertux Glacier

- Is the ski equipment included in the price?
No, the ski equipment is NOT included in the price. Ski equipment can be rented or purchased from any sports retailer in the village.

- What ski equipment do I need for freeriding?
We recommend freeride skis with a center width of at least 95mm. You can use your own normal ski boots or special freeride boots. Ski poles with large plates are recommended.
- Can I choose freely from all meeting points?
No, we determine the meeting point and the choice of mountain. This depends on the respective weather, snow and avalanche situation.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
- Is there a minimum age for cross-country skiing lessons?
Yes, we offer our cross-country skiing courses from the age of 8.
- Do cross-country skiing lessons also take place in “bad weather”?
Yes, lessons always take place. The only exception is when the trail conditions do not allow for meaningful lessons (rain, lots of fresh snow, no tracks,...)
- Do I need a ski pass for cross-country skiing?
No, use of the cross-country ski trail in Tux is free for everyone.
- Is the cross-country skiing equipment included in the price?
No, the cross-country skiing equipment is NOT included in the price. The equipment can be rented or purchased from any sports retailer in the village.
- Do we also have cross-country skiing equipment to hire/buy?
No, we do not offer equipment for hire or purchase.
- What is the difference between classic and skating?
The classic technique is skied in the parallel track and with a diagonal stride (similar to walking or Nordic walking).
The skating technique is skied in the V-position and on the “smooth” trail (without a track). - Can I also skate with my classic cross-country skiing equipment and vice versa?
No, as “classic” and skating are two completely different pieces of equipment (skis, boots, poles), it is not possible to skate on classic skis or vice versa.
- What clothing do I need for cross-country skiing?
We recommend slightly warmer sportswear (warm running clothes) in which you can move easily.
Thin gloves, a thin hat or headband and sunglasses are recommended.
Normal ski clothing is not recommended for cross-country skiing.
SKI TOURING
- Is there a minimum age for ski touring?
Yes, we offer our ski tours from the age of 12.
- Do ski tours also take place in “bad weather”?
Yes, lessons always take place. The only exception is if a tour is not possible due to weather conditions (avalanche danger, strong wind, fog, etc.).
- Is a ski pass required for ski tours?
This depends on the tour in question. Sometimes tours with lift assistance are chosen, sometimes no ski pass is required. This will be discussed before the respective tour.
- Is the touring equipment included in the price?
No, ski touring equipment is NOT included in the price. Ski touring equipment can be rented or purchased from any sports retailer in the village.
- Do we also have ski touring equipment to hire/buy?
No, we do not offer equipment for hire or purchase.
- What equipment do I need for ski tours?
It requires special touring skis with a center width of at least 85mm with ascent binding and adhesive skins for the ascent. Furthermore, touring ski boots with ascent and descent mechanisms as well as height-adjustable touring poles with large plates.
- Can I choose freely from all meeting points/tours?
The choice of tour and meeting point always depends on the respective weather, snow and avalanche situation and must be adapted/changed if necessary.
